He is an avid golfer and a good one! In fact, his team 'Proman Crushers 'is participating in the BGC league. He is also a very talented Singer and has joined a few times in the music get togethers Tara used to arrange in our house.
I met Raghavan more often during Covid as we stayed in Eagleton during the lockout period! I often joined him in walks around Eagleton residential area and enjoyed our walks. I learned he was in the Middle East, involved in infrastructure building.
When he chose to return, he got this idea of making construction equipments in India. The company he started, Proman Pvt Limited did well and grew. Proman exports its products to USA and other countries!
Post covid I met him occasionally at BGC where we both are members. It is only last year that I and Tara finally saw his factory in Bidadi. I can honestly say I was bowled over with what I saw. In fact, I had not stepped into a factory for many years. As we walked in we saw a well laid out factory, very clean and with a lot of space. The office had a nice ambiance and the staff looked friendly and focused. And I did feel that the staff I chatted with took Pride in the jobs they were working on!
As a neighbor I knew they were generous in dealing with the employees at home. They were also dog lovers and did rescue stray dogs, which included the injured ones, and took care of them. As I have grown with dogs myself, I appreciated his concern for them!
He also is happy to help people who like to maintain our heritage. When we approached him for help for our family temple in Paschimavahini , he generously contributed.
